What a fitted bin store costs
Guide prices for composite and aluminium wheelie bin stores, fitted on a paved base, around Rutland and Stamford.
A single wheelie bin store, fitted on a level paved base, starts from about £1,000. Two and three bin stores are priced on the visit, because the size of the base, the ground underneath and any path needed to the kerb change from one house to the next. Every figure is a guide; we confirm the fixed price in writing after measuring your bins and the space.

What is included in the price
From about £1,000 covers one composite or aluminium store, the level paved pad it stands on, and fitting it so the lid and doors open fully with the bin inside. We measure your bins first so the store suits the ones you actually have.
Larger stores follow the same approach on a wider pad. If the route to the kerb is gravel, grass or steps, a new level path can be added, priced once we have seen it.
What makes it cost more or less
- The number of bins and the width of pad that needs
- Composite slats or aluminium, and the door style
- What the pad replaces: lawn, gravel or broken paving
- Whether a path to the kerb is needed, and how long it is
- Slopes or steps between the store and the kerb
- Planning checks for a store in front of the house
Bin store costs around Rutland, Stamford and Corby
Bin stores usually sit at the side or front of the house, so local planning rules play a bigger part than they do for back-garden work. In Stamford's conservation area, the Article 4 direction removes permitted development for hard surfaces and boundaries facing a road, so a new paved pad at the front can need permission, and many older streets have tight frontages. Uppingham's centre has plenty of small frontages and rear courtyards too. On new estates such as Priors Hall Park in Corby and Hanwood Park in Kettering, gardens are often compacted subsoil, so the pad needs a properly dug base rather than sitting on the surface.
What to check in any quote
- That your actual bins have been measured and the lids open fully
- The pad: level, paved and on a dug base
- Whether a path to the kerb is included
- Whether planning has been checked for a front-garden position
- Door and hinge material, and how the store is fixed down
